Conversely, all suffering arises when we love only ourselves.\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ever since I received my Master\u2019s permission to ordain as a monk, my thoughts have often returned to memories that have gradually faded with time. Deep within me has always been a quiet sadness and concern that are difficult to put into words.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I often remind myself:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4><strong>\u201cNo matter how much one person loves another, it is still not enough. No matter how little one person hates another, it is still too much.\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From these reflections, a profound aspiration to act began to arise.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The more I study the Buddha\u2019s teachings, the more I realize how deeply blessed I have been. At home, I was surrounded by the love and care of my parents and siblings. In the temple, my Master lovingly guided and protected me, while devoted lay Buddhists generously looked after my well-being.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As I paused and looked around me, however, I began to see countless unfortunate lives. There were people dragging themselves along the roadside, begging for enough food to survive another day; families struggling to secure even a single meal; elderly individuals left to endure loneliness in solitude; newborn infants abandoned by the roadside; the homeless seeking shelter beneath bridges or among cemeteries; those neglected and cast aside by their own families; people<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">suffering from chronic illnesses; others suffering from severe, untreated wounds; and individuals living with disabilities\u2014blind, deaf, mute, or physically impaired.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How can so many still lack even the basic necessities of food and warm clothing?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond these hardships, natural disasters such as fires, tsunamis, earthquakes, and floods continue to leave behind devastation and immeasurable loss.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the many charitable relief missions my Master entrusted to me, I have personally witnessed these heartbreaking realities. These experiences strengthened my aspiration to help those in need.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Buddha teaches that true compassion is inseparable from wisdom. The more deeply we understand suffering, the more naturally the heart responds with kindness, generosity, and the wish to relieve it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At first, I quietly set aside, to the best of my ability, a portion of the four requisites that had been offered by lay devotees to both Master and I. Over time, more Buddhist followers learned of these efforts and generously contributed, allowing us to extend our support to more people.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With my Master\u2019s encouragement and the wholehearted support of many dedicated young lay Buddhists, I formally established <strong>Huong Tu Loving Kindness Foundation<\/strong>, affiliated with Huong Dao Temple.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was never something I had imagined for myself, as I often doubted my capability to carry out such a responsibility. Yet, through the blessings of many favorable causes and conditions, that humble aspiration became a reality.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, Huong Tu Loving Kindness Foundation carries forward its mission inspired by the Buddha\u2019s teachings\u2014encouraging wholesome deeds while nurturing the virtues of <strong>generosity, compassion, loving-kindness, and selfless service.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2><strong>Our Guiding Motto<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<h4><strong>\u201cShare love and compassion hand in hand;<br \/>May loving-kindness blossom throughout the land.\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<h6>\r\n\r\n<\/h6>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Guided by this motto, we aspire to bring people together in selfless service, working hand in hand to spread peace, relieve suffering, and serve all beings with sincerity, compassion, and loving hearts.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Huong Tu was founded not for personal gain, but solely from the heartfelt wish that people may live peacefully and happily, communities may flourish, and all beings may gradually be freed from suffering.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every act of generosity\u2014whether great or small\u2014has the power to become a helping hand, uplifting those who are most in need of care, hope, and support.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through these acts of service, we also hope to plant seeds of kindness and compassion in the hearts of everyone who joins or encounters our work.
