Huong Tu Foundation’s 3rd day at Nakwanga, Jinja in the presence of the Nile River and Lake Victoria (the largest lake in Africa).

We are at one of the poorest village where homes are made of mud and cover with leaf roofs. People are struggling to make ends meet. On a daily basis women and children carry water containers on their head to retrieve water from the river. Many lives were lost during these trips to collect water.

More than 500 children and elderly waited for Huong Tu from early morning to 4PM. We are touched to see how excited villagers were on our arrival!

We official celebrated the grand opening of the first water well at this location. Although the water well can provide up to 500 people with clean water, it is not enough. Huong Tu sponsored 2 additional water wells to serve this region. Additionally, rice, beans, sugar, corn flour, and school supplies were passed out to the villagers. We concluded our charitable giving on the 3rd day at 8PM.
